We have been getting a lot of comments about particular websites being locked when using Google.  Here's an explanation that might help clarify your searches.

Google is an advertising company that uses a search engine to generate revenue.  Every link you click in Google is generating $$ for Google, the advertising company.  These clicks generate a very small amount of money for Google but over time this amounts to millions of dollars.

Chrome is a Web Browser which Google rides on top of.  The other popular Web browsers in use today are Edge from Microsoft and Firefox from Mozilla.  I'll throw in Safari from Apple also.  These are true browsers which allow you to do Internet searches without annoying redirection to ads.  Use Edge on your Windows device if these broken links are an annoyance.

When you use Chrome and it's Google "Search Engine" you are being directed to a search page as the first link when you go to websites like WalMart or Target.  A clue that you might have a problem is that Google flags the first link as "Sponsored"  which means it's the main link that generates the advertising for Google to gain those micro payments for each click.   Simply click the second link on the page of links to bypass the sponsored link.

The thing to remember is that Google admits that they sell your data.  All of the browsing you do on Chrome is available for companies to purchase through Google Analytics.  Search with Chrome and rest assured that you are being mined for information.  Google over time knows nearly everything there is to know about you and they sell this info to other companies.
