MSA strongly suggests that all staff use the Follow-Me copiers for all printing needs because the copiers use the staff members security card data as a way to protect documents printed. Printed documents only appear when you want to retrieve them.
However, if there is a need for any additional printer then the user can install the printer they need themselves. However, there is a trick to getting this accomplished. Simply using the printer installation wizard as it is will not allow printers to be installed. Here's what you do.
Note: Don't install alll printers that are listed in the list. Many have special functions or are used for special purposes. Also, don't install Follow Me copiers using this method. Print jobs won't print through a Follow Me printer installed in this way.
Go to Start and type Printers and scanners in the search bar. When the window opens go ahead and Add a printer or scanner. Windows will come up with a list of available printers. Don't click on the printer you want to isntall. There are restrictions preventing you to easily install a printer in this way. Instead, go down the list until you see "The printer that I want isn't listed." Click this link.
Now, click the button "Find a printer in the directory" and click Next. A list of printers available on the network will appear. Find the printer you need and click on it, then click OK.
The wizard will load the driver for the printer and create it. Click Next and then click Finish.
Close the Printer and scanner window. Your printer will now appear in the list of available printers in your application.
